What to look for when buying
It's been talked about alot on here.
Look for the well known oil leak at the back of the intake.
Power window motors go out alot, see how well they go up and down. Auto tranny's are very weak, watch for slipage and any probs. The windows get loose so check to see if they move alot in the tracks. Center console latch breaks very easy. Top center dash piece cracks. Watch oil pressure on high milage cars. Look for clutch slipage on M6 cars. The head liner likes to come down often on hard top cars. And of course the opti is the main problem.

I look at the condition of the rugs and seats. A also look for proof of proper maintenance. Good paperwork means alot to me.
Look at the entry bolster on the drivers seat. Look at the edges of the brake pedal for wear on the rubber pad. If it is a "low mile" car these things should look pretty good.
Look at the rubber around the windows and doors. It should be "alive" and free of cracks.
Smell the transmission fluid if it is an auto. It should not be burnt. If it is a stick, get a good feel for the clutch.
Drive it until it is fully warmed up. Once it is good and hot, look at the oil pressure. Make sure it is not too low. Look at the treaddepth on the tires. If they ar asking a premium price, they should be brand new.
