Re: What headers??

Even though they're expensive, Kook's headers are hands down the nicest long tubes around. 304 stainless, beautiful construction. Got mine this week. The detail work is amazing. They tuck up better than Hookers or Jet-Hots for better clearance. The plug access looks fantastic. They are seriously great headers.

WIth SLP mids it took about 4 hours a side to do the plugs. WIth the MACs I can do them all in an hour.

Re: What headers??

search forum does wonders...this has probably been posted a 1000 times...When the LT1 was in production most guys sweared by hooker long tubes cause at that time they were probably the only reasonably priced LTs....Now ya have jet hot, pacesetter, kooks etc...they all perform similar id go w/ the best price.

Re: What headers??

I have an ls1 now, but i did have an lt1 in which i bought jethot longtubes. Although the headers were great, I wish I had gone with a mid lengh header. Since the lt1 rides lower, the headers will hit all kinds of stuff that an ls1 can clear. I was constantly having to tighten up the headers and replace gaskets that were getting burned out. Just thought I would say it since I noticed you have an lt1. My .02
