What is the fastest speed the Cruise Control will work at?

I sometimes drive to Ft. Meade, MD and cruising up I95, just about everyone is going 90-110mph.
The Dodge Caravan that I use to drive up there with will only allow the Cruise to set at 85mph. I can hit the cruise button at 100mph but it won't engage till the car slows to 85mph.
And just for ****s and giggles, I held the gas to teh floor to see how fast the Caravan would go and it hits the limiter at 115mph. I had to do this on a downhill slope since the pull is so slow after 105mph.

my speedo only shows 115 but i have been pegged and at 4500 rpm and the cruise control still works. the wifes tahoe speed limites at 97mph. my camaro only used to do 105 till the hypertech chip. the fun part is get your cruise set up at 100, then pick up the wife and get going again then hit resume and tell her you can't stop it.

I wouldnt feel comfortable crusing at those speeds on Cruse control, too much can happen and you wouldnt be able to react fast enough.

you boys are trying to use cruise at 100+!!!! you guys are brave souls! i lived in phoenix for some time and used cruise above 100 one time! till i crested that hill and about lost it in my lexus gs400. if you are flying that fast, even in the desert, use the throttle, cows tend to roam, bunnies tend to cross, i dont want to here of anyone dying cause they were pimpin at a buck ten and were to comfy to react to a small situation, other than that, my z will hold at what ever speed i want.

I've wondered this myself. My Neon was like Zephyr's Caravan, 85 was it on the cruise control. Speed limiter shut the fun off at 119.

Cars now days are speed limited by the manufacturer based on the tires they are originally equipped with.
Cruise control still works at 90 on the Camaro and 110 on the Caprice. I believe that it will work at whatever speed the car(s) will get to -- up to the limit Chevrolet set.
