What else can cause starting issues?

I'm having intermittent starting issues with my 94 formula.
Battery and alternator have tested fine multiple times, but every few days I go to start the car and get a rapid clicking but no starting.
Connections are all tight.

It push starts fine, and when jumped by another car, all it takes is a one second touch of the jumper cables to start up.

Could it be something with a flaky RAP module?
Ignition switch?

Where should I start looking next?

theres many possibilities, it can go all the way from your ignition switch to the tips of your plugs, could it be a faulty distributer? eh i dont think it would be that because the car its self wouldnt run, it could be your starter, if your hearing a clicking sound its trying to engage, id try that

Re: What else can cause starting issues?

Well what leads me to think it may have something to do with the RAP, is the other day I pulled in to park, turn off the car and sat there for a few minutes. My radio started turning off and on, so I tryed starting the car again.
I got the clicking sound but no start.
It wasn't enough time for my battery to drain, and the fact that the radio freaked out made me think the RAP might somehow be causing the issue.

If it was RAP, I would think it would just turn the radio off, not off and on... It sounds more like the ignition switch or the connection at power distribution on the fender.

Battery cables? Wire running to the starter?

There is no cold start injector on a 94 LT1. The PCM richens the cold strart A/F ratio based on the coolant temp sensor reading.
