What could be the cause of a dead window motor?

I changed the motor, driver side window is still not working. Passenger side works as it usually does.

It just randomly died on me. It was working fine as I can remember before it stopped working. The window is stuck in the up position.

Switch, wiring, motor itself (usually the case).

The wiring connector on mine is finicky. reach in and move it while using the switch. If it moves at all you found your culprit. I have done probably 50 different cars and a few of them had this problem.

Anything else? I've tried what the poster above mentioned with no luck. What else could make a driver side window motor fail?

It's time to replace the motor.

Poor window adjustment, excess friction, broken regulator parts, use.

OK. So I guess it's either the regulator or the switch.

So I think if it was the regulator, I wouldn't be able to to push or pull the window down by hand with the motor out?
