Go to Pontiac.com and look at the GTO photo's of the bottom of the car (Photo Gallery). It's a true dual that crosses over and exits out one side. It has two, precats or resonator, then two cats., then two muffers.

Also note : 1993-1995 Fbody got 1 cat
1995 California model - 2 cats
1996-2002 - 2 cats.
Catbacks usually conisist of the "Intermediate Pipe"( <-- theres more Vocab for ya..),
Muffler, and tail pipes.

OK, so a Loudmouth exhaust, for instance, is really a "cat back" mod right? and all it consists of is an "Intermediate Pipe" a resonator, and tail pipes? Correct?

edit: ever since i saw this question, i've been thinking...mecca has got to know what a catback is
is this just a prank mecca?
