V6 speedo

Will a 1997 V6 speedo work in a 1993-1997 Z28?

If it means anything I have the crappy 110mph cluster right now. Isnt that the same as the V6?

I didn't know Z28's came with 110 speedos. I thought it was either 120 or 150.

Re: V6 speedo

I know my 98 V6 camaro had a gauge that went to 120. On thunderracing.com it says the 93-96 V6 gauges go to 110. So I'd still say no on the 97 and check into futher on the differences between a 93-96 V6 gauge and your 94 Z28 gauge.

Re: V6 speedo

I still don't know if the speedo would work for sure, but the 97 V6 speedo goes to 120 mph, if you car has a speedo in it now that only reads 110 then it is a 6 cylinder speedo. All Z28s at least '93 up came with 150 mph speedos.

BTW he is looking to change the whole dash to the newer style not just the cluster.
So the real question is will a V6 cluster work in a V8 car of the same year?

All '93 up Z28's did not come with 150 mph speedo's. They had to be optioned with ZR rated tires.

correct, a friend of mine with a 94 TA GT had a 120 speedo, we were doing a high speed run down an empty interstate and were around 150ish when he called me to ask how fast we were going

Re: V6 speedo

Okay I guess I stand corrected, but I have never seen any Z28 93 up without a 150 speedo, I have seen TAs without it but I was just talking about camaros.
