Using stud instead of header bolts
Using stud instead of header bolts
My threads are stripped so getting the header bolt in isn't possible so my header doesn't seat right against the head as it should and thusly it leaks. SOmeone recommended I use a stud and then a nut to tighten it down. Anyone ever tried this? It seems logical.
Re: Using stud instead of header bolts
Yes, studs work nicely. My choise was ARP stainless w/ 12point nuts. Just remember this wont fix a pulled thread, you would still need to add a helicoil to the head.
