Squeaky clutch?

I have had this problem for a long time. I have got down and oiled, wd-40,silcone,grease,etc. The parts under the dash. Nothing has worked.
When I ask about how to fix it at the local shop they tell me it is just a problem with these cars and you got to deal with it. My situation is annoying because it comes and goes. So whenever your pissed off and you get back into your car it starts.
Just wanted to know if anybody has the same problems?
Thanks

I had the same problem with my 95 Formula. I had a 93 Z28 and it never happend. I did all the same things you've done on my 95 and it always went away and came back over time. I guess your best option is to replace the pedal assembly. I never got around to doing that, but I think it would go away then.

Same thing in my 96' Z , I just shoot some WD 40 up near the top of the clutch assembly and it goes away for a year or two. (Alot cheeper than replaceing the clutch assembley)

Re: Squeaky clutch?

I have the same problem in my 94 bird as well. I quickly tried some WD-40 but it didn't do anything. I guess I'll give it another shot...

Re: Squeaky clutch?

I was told it was the clutch pedal return spring but our cars have hydrolic systems so I am guessing replace the master cylinder.

Re: Squeaky clutch?

I spent an hour under the dash one day trying to figure it out. Here is what I found, lubing all the piviot points didnt do squat. The culprit is the starter saftey switch(black square button behind the pedal arm) its very hard to access but if you can reach it put some bearing grease on all four sides.

My 95 Camaro has the same problem, I've just gotten used to it.. the music usually blocks it out.

Re: Squeaky clutch?

I have been using the radio to drown it out too. I get real sick of it when it's 5:30 am and I have to blast music when I'm on the highway.
