True Dual Exhaust
True Dual Exhaust
hey guys, just wondering how difficult it is to run true dual on a '96 z28. i currently have a full mac set up ( headers, Y, and cat-back) thinking of upgrading to hooker supercomp longtubes......
what i want is that nice rumble, and a little extra power.
if anyone can tell me if it's worth it, and what's involved, it would be very much appreciated. thanks

it can be done with relative ease....
you'll lose ground clearance and unless you spend mega-$$ to go over the axle you will have to dump it under the car before the axle. this tends to make it quite loud.
peak gains are probably 10hp on a bolt on car over a standard catback. howerver many notice a drop in low end torque due to lose of backpressure.

I have the lanes true duals over the axle. It is the best thing I have done. Its got the flo-pro twisters and sounds incredible. I am pretty sure that it is BS about loosing low end torque. Look at my dyno graphs, 300 rwt above like 1500 rpms's.
