Yes it is. The point is that he had a bad hidden wire and bypassed it externally. Because it was a ground wire in the same bundle and not the signal wire, he had the opposite failure.

The code hasn't come back but I broke my leg last Wednesday so won't be driving the car for a while. Again I thank you guys for the help and info.

Just so's ya know, my car is now code free! The last one was P1441 for the evap system but I swapped out the charcoal can for a new one and the two modules inside the engine compartment.

The TPS ground is no longer an issue as the added ground wire fixed it. I never did try to locate the bad ground, I believe it's an open wire somewhere in the rear harness under the cowl.

My leg is better, 5 months later. Still not 100% but I'm old and it takes longer.
