i hope this is the right forum to put this under. i have a 99 v6 that had the ignition switch changed out last september because the theft deterrant went bad and had the engine locked out. but ever since then, i occasionaly trip the theft deterrant, how, i dont know. it is very irritating when im in a hurry and the damn car wont crank. i have to wait ten minutes before it will crank. does this sound familiar to any one? im desperate here. it did it again last night when as i was leaving work at 7:30 at night in an empty parking lot! i didnt want to sit there by myself for ten minutes. please help

 

That sounds wired, I've never heard of the car doing that, is it a factory system?

If anything you might still have problems with the ignition, I've heard of bad ignitions/keys and how it wont work.
