Re: TB questions

You can have people port them out to 52 or 58mm, and essentially it is the same.

Re: TB questions

52mm is the biggest you can safely port the stocker. Yes, it works just the same. I have a ported stocker right now, and it worked awesome! But, my motor is telling me I now need a 58mm, as the dyno showed I flatlined at the top end.

Re: TB questions

Guys.. This dude has a LS1... Not a lT1. The numbers and info you are giving him is for LT1s.

Re: TB questions

a ported stock throttle body ...on an LS1...is sufficient for most decent h/c setups with minimal sacrafice on power.

for your bolt on mods...just stick with a ported one.

only reason to upgrade these days is if you are going with a FAST 90/90 setup.

check out the vendor list, alot of the big online vendors offer ported TBs for reasonable cost.

Re: TB questions

only mods are in the sig...future are headers, puleys, and a S/C.

how much can i get out of a ported stocker (size)? HP gains?

also, how much can you get out of the TB bypass mod?

1 more thing...what is a FAST 90/90 setup?

Re: TB questions

ported tb is minimal hp...nothing you'll feel hp wise, but i did feel a difference in part throttle response.

info on the bypass...even though it's for an LT1
