Tail light question
Tail light question
When I bought my car, it was a beater. I've put in a new engine (1000), new fuel pump (560), and put on new tires (300), not to mention towing fees (150). So, I'm on my way to basically getting a whole new car out of this. I'm replacing almost everything in the car it seems like, but I need help with this.
My taillights are refusing to work. They worked when I got the car, but the wires were sticking out of the carpet. So I unplugged the connectors, and put them behind the carpet, and put the carpet back. Now they don't want to work. The third brake light works, but the other two don't.
So, I'm pretty sure I connected everything back correctly, but I redo everything. Nothing from that. Then I start to take out the lights, to see if the bulbs busted, and the right light works when you start to take it out, but stops when you put it back in. It doesn't do that with the left light, it just refuses to work. Any ideas on how to go about this without taking it to a shop?

Re: Tail light question
Sounds like a loose wire to me. Check all of your connections, and make sure everything is tight. If you need to, get a wiring diagram and trace the wires, checking the connections as you go along.
