mine leaks every once in a while. Gets on the drivers seat, and if your not paying attention, you will have a nice suprise in the early a.m. going to work.

Re: T-top owners?

2002 z28 w/ t-tops 44,300 miles no leaks. I do feel like a need more bracing on the car though to prevent it in the future. I need strut tower and subframe connectors on the car.

Re: T-top owners?

84K and no leaks with rain. Only small leak with high pressure car wash, if you shoot directly at the where the window rolls up and meets the t-top. In general, it's leak proof. Having said that, check the gasket insulators around the t-tops before you buy the car..could be the guy that had the leak had some tears in the gasketing. Anyway..lots of run riding with t-tops down...enjoy your car.

Re: T-top owners?

In the Camaro I never had leaks... when I first got the T/A I would have a small stream of water make its way through the drivers side t-top. It only happened when I sprayed the car off at a car wash. I found where a small section of the rubber molding between the T-top and the window had a minor crease in it.

I worked the crease out and now I'm careful to make sure the T-top doesn't fold it back over when I re-install them. (I don't take the tops out very often anyways ). I haven't had a problem out of them since then.

Re: T-top owners?

Mine leaks near the windsheild where the two gaskets meet. It only leaks a few drops during a heavy rain. When I used a spray wand to clean my car, I would get a few drops in on the same spot.

I used to have a problem when I parked my car at work. The back seat carpet would get wet, and the t-top would leak from somewhere around the back. This really annoyed me because it would either be leaking all of the right t-top, or leaking all on the left t-top. But it NEVER leaked in the back from both t-tops at the same time. Always the right or left. It took me about a year to figure it out, but where I was parking had a real steep slope that I parked perpendicular to. This allowed the water to back up and not drain properly. Depending on which direction I parked determined what side leaked. So now I park in a level spot at work, and no more leaks in the back seat

Re: T-top owners?

Mine is 98 with 40K

Mine leak ALOT

I park in the garage most the time and it only leaks really after a heavy rain storm or after during our rainy season, but I'm stuck parking outside at work and school.

Last week with the rain we had one morning my driver seat was totally soaked, luckly I had beach towls in the truck so I sat on those, but it wasnt cool.

I'd buy another T top as long as it could sit in the garage on the rainy days, I dont even use them that much anymore so I could just as well deal with a sun roof or hard top.
