swapping from a a4 to a t56 in a ls1 car
asking for a buddy

does the transmission harness need to be swapped out?

does the pcm need to be reprogramed?

does the tranny crossmember need to be swapped out?

yes, yes and I believe you can use an A4 crossmember but not positive.

thanks, but why does the pcm need to be reprogrammed? will it not know that a t56 harness has been plugged in?

No i dont believe it would because the LS1 isn't plug and play like normal personal computers. its just an onboard computer for the vehicle.
