Sticking T/A head lights?

Sometimes my head lights won't come up, I use the manual cranks under the hood. Then when I shut the car off they work. Any ideals on what's going on?

I wasn't sure where to post this, but when the lights are broken the "apperance" of the car sucks.

Thanks all.

I dont know if yours will be the same as mine but my one motor was loose on the gear section, grab the motor and see if you can wiggle it on the bottom part, if you can use a center punch and tap over the tabs that hold it fast on there, mine were a little loose and it would make the gears bind thats what was holding mine up. just something for you to look for.

not just by the switch but they just start working. Just normal.
Maybe the relay is going?

yeah i t would almost have to be that, I would say it would be your motors if they wouldnt go up at all, but thats not the case. so it would have to be wireing issue, relays or the switch.
