stereo help!!

I have a '99 z28, and I recently disconnected my battery to install a cold air intake, and when I reconnected, the security feature on the stock stereo had activated, and now it won't turn on at all. I read the manual, and I tried to do what was written to deactivate the security feature, but nothing seems to work. And does anyone know how to permanently turn off this security feature? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

You have to deactivate the Thefloc feature first by putting in the code. Then, I believe the owners manual has the procedure on how to deactivate the system altogether.

If the above info posted by "2000GTP" still doesn't help you out try posting in the "audio and electrical" forum, all the best,Mark.

This is the post I followed when I locked my radio out, post #2 specifically. Hopefully this clarifies things better: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...ight=theftlock
