Re: steering wheel q?
PLEASE post on the correct forum. Questions about the "steering wheel" do not belong on "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech". Moving to "General F-Body Tech...."
Don't know the details of the MOMO wheel, but I've swapped in a Grant wheel, using the Grant 3rd Gen install kit.
You will have to pull the power off the battery for at least 20-minutes to allow the airbag DERM module to bleed off reverve power. Then disconnect the yellow airbag harness connector at the base of the steering column. Then its a simple matter of removing the airbag/cover by removing the 4 Torx screws in the back of the cover, and unplugging the wire harnesses under the cover for the airbag and for the radio controls. Then there's a clock spring coil that needs to be removed (allows the wiring to function at the wheel turns). When the coil is off the column, you need to pull the wire with the yellow connector up through the steering column. I found that to be fairly difficult, and cut the connector off the end of the wire.
Make sure the wheels are straight ahead, and remove the nut that holds the wheel to the column. You will need a 2-bolt steering wheel puller. Grant sells one for $6. MOMO should be able to tell you if they have a 3rd Gen install kit (most steering wheel manufacturers will not make/sell an install kit for the airbag equipped 4th Gens, because they do not want the liablility of assisting you in removal of the airbag).

Re: steering wheel q?
You have to pull the spring coil off the top of the steering column. That coil has the wire on it that goes down the steering column, and ends in the large yellow connector with safety pins. The connector could be pulled up through the steering column assembly if you had patience, or maybe pulled the column apart a bit. I only cut mine off because it was easier to remove it. I had no intention of ever putting the airbag or stock wheel back on.
