Speedo gear for 3:73

Hi All

i have a 67 Camaro with a moser 373. The car has 17” tires. The trans is a turbo 400.

Took her her out in the maiden run last night and the Speedo says I was going 50 but it was more like 38 or 40.

Can i adjust the plastic gear - anyone know which one I would need?

Thx.

Re: Speedo gear for 3:73

To calculate the correct driven gear, you need:

- # of teeth on drive gear (on tailshaft of trans)

- rear axle ratio

- tire outside diameter (not wheel diameter)

This site walks you through it, including a tire diameter calculator, and tables of available drive gear teeth count for specific transmissions, like your TH400
