Some questions from New guy! (2000 SS Content)

Hey folks! New here and this is my first post. I had '99 Camaro V6 bone stock for a few years and got rid of it and now I have the chance to get another Camaro.

This time though it is an Navy Blue 2000 SS not sure on the SLP # but it does have the Loudmouth I exhaust. Any questions I should ask or things I need to look at closely. I kinda looked at it and did a walk around the other day, but nothing under the hood really. Its at 91K on the clock and I would be its 2nd owner. KBB calls for about $9-10K so I am okay with that...private seller not a stealership ripoff!

Will get the VIN # for CarFax and SLP...

Thanks in advance for your input!

Yeah she is a little dirty! Damn pollen, garage kept supposedly...really nice sound when I tore around the local streets. Gotta love the Loudmouth...

And like an newb forgot to take pics of the door jam with the RPO and SLP data along with VIN. Although I did get VIN # written down somewhere

You can just check in the driver side door jamb. there should be a sticker in there that says something like "this car was modified by SLP" to see if it's an SLP car.

I guess the main thing would be to make sure it is an SLP authentic car. Other then that, give it the basic look over that you would do with any used car, check all the fluids, see how it drives and shifts, ect.

Thanks guys, looking at it this evening while there is still plenty of sunlight left to get an idea of any blemishes. This car is not really going to be for timed runs or auto-x more like a mix of the two...just something to play with in my spare time. Perhap take it to Budd's Creek for a few runs though! Just have to see how it will do!

Look at your RPO codes, you should have a WU8 for the SS package and a Y2Y for additional SLP content.

If you want your SLP build number you will have to call them with your VIN.
Many of the SS owners are/were members of http://www.camarossoa.org/
There forum can be helpful http://www.chirpthird.com/
Might try contacting them.
