Skip Shift Eliminator
#2
I don't havae a garage and I installed mine with no issues in my driveway. You will need to jack your car up to get under the car to get the transmission where the connections are made. It's really pretty simple from there. It's one of the VERY best mods I ever made to my Z by far. I HATE the skip shift feature!!!

You are welcome to come use my shop, but I'm afraid the trip might be a bit excessive I'm in VA. FWIW, other than a jack and two jack stands, you don't really need anything else. Plus, it will only take about 30 seconds to install it. I jacked up my car sideways on two wheels, lifting the left side of the car about 18-inches. I then slid under on my creeper and made the connection. Lifting the car took the most time. If you have a jack, you can do this in a parking lot. Don't forget the jack stands!!

Jack up the driver's side. Use jackstands. Slide under the car and unplug the harness connector from the "ship shift" solenoid. You don't even need the "skip shift eliminator". Although the OBD-I cars (94/95) set a DTC code for a non-functioning skip-shift solenoid, they do not turn on the SES light. OBD-II (96/97) does turn on the light.
Since you have the "eliminator", install it. But you could have accomplished the same thing for less than $1 by getting a 2 Kohm resistor at Radio Shack, and plugging the resistor wires into the harness connector and taping it up.

Free, and gets rid of the light altogether. Best way to do it on a 94-95 car.
