Shifter Knob?
2001NBMZ28 hit it dead on, just don't mangle your shift **** whenever you are pulling the staple out.
Also, when you are taking the center console out you will have to get the emergency brake lever straight up. There are some pictures online you could search for, but it involved taking a screw driver and prying some part of the mechanism back in order to release it from the gear. I'm drawing a blank on the exact process, but search for it and you will find it, thats what I did when I removed mine.
Some say you can just yank it up but I don't think that is the proper way to do it.

If you pull it fast you can just yank it up. I traded mine out and that's what I did. I did it like mentioned earlier the first time, and I regret it cause the e-brake doesn't work as well now.
