SES question????

Ok this only happens once in a while, but it seems like whenever i go over 50-60 mph my SES light comes on. I was thinking since my cat is rattleling bad that it could be that. But it has been rattiling for a while now and its never came on untill recently. Any Help????
by the way i have a 95 3.4

Re: SES question????

there is no "post cat" sensor on a 95...so i can't imagine anything being triggered by the broken (rattling) cat.

could be something with the rest of the emissions.

go to AutoZone and have them scan it. see what the code is. otherwise it is a complete shot in the dark.

maybe try resetting the ECM, see if it still comes back.

Re: SES question????

The only way to know for sure is to pull the code.

Could be EGR related.

Re: SES question????

High speed miss that only happens between certain RPMs? Sounds odd but can never rule anything out.
