Is it missing right now?? It's dosen't ake much to get a missfire code. I changed the fuel filter on the wife's vert and it missed and ran like crap for 10sec or so until the air got out of the lines. The SES light came on and I scaned a 300 code(mulltiple cylinder missfire).

If it is missing continously I would look into it and see what's wrong.

Check basic things like spark and fuel. Check that each spark plug is getting spark. Check plug wires for burns or cracks, pull each plug and check for carbon deposits that could cause carbon tracking. But hey while the plugs are out change them and the wires. This will eliminate them as the cause. Put a screw driver on each injector as the cars running and see if you can hear them firing. If all of that is good check have the icm checked and at night look to see if the coil is arching. If it is use the how to on robs site http://shbox.com to check the coil to see if its good. After you check all that get back to us and let is know if its fixed.

The misfire can cause alot of problems in the long run i wouldnt drive it much

The SES light flashes to get your attention. Its indicating that the misfire may be severe enough to damage the catalytic converter. The cylinder misfire code should be telling you which cylinder it is, or if its the "random misfire" code, a scan using enhanced parameters will enable you to find which cylinder (or cylinders) is/are having the most problems. Unburned fuel, if that's the problem, can also wash lubrication off the cylinder walls, and dilute the oil.
