so the story is as follows.
when i go to crank my 93 z28 i hear the fuel pump turn on but the starter will not click at all... i checked battery connectors and the battery all good there... so i trailered it too the dealershipand they looked at it and said its not the ignition switch. but in order to for him to now he would have to tear the hole thing apart and that would cost me about 300 and worse its the whole theft module and it would cost 800-900 so i told him i am going to gett the trailer tomorow and pick the camaro up... so does any one have any idea...please help

Also when i turn the key all the light come on but the security light stays on

 

There are tons of threads about the security light in the general tech forum. Most often not reading the key pellet is the issue. If so, you can bypass it with a resistor for a few cents.

update...So just picked the z28 up from the dealershipand now I have a blinking security light and the service engine soon light but still nothing


Dealership said has good electricity all the way up to the theft deterent module but he wasnt able to test the module cause it would cost me 300 just to for them to test it...and I wasn't paying that for it to not be that

 

You need to do your own testing to verify what is going on.

 

Mine on my 93 z did the same but my security light would go out then i could crank car. Had to get new key was almost $50 what a rip off!
