sagging doors?
sagging doors?
Im sure alot of people get this problem after awhile since our doors are so huge. Im just curious what part I have to replace to fix it. My doors sag so when i goto shut it the door it just slams off the latch cause its sagging too low to connect properly. so i have to lift the door as i close it if i want to close it without it banging off.
I could use a lower driver side door hinge as well (CHEAP! I'm going broke restoring this thing!!). Any info would be great since the 4 salvage yards in my area have NO 4th gen F-bodies!
People either drive these things too carefully around here or they have a secret I'm not aware of...

Here is a good story for you...
My wife had a 1990 Pontiac Lemans when I met her and the drivers door wouldnt close right because it was sagged and the latch just banged it's clasp.
I openned the door and put a jack under the edge of it. I jacked it up so some of the weight of the car was on the door, then i stood on the entry sill and jumped a little. It bent the door upward a little, allowing the latch to meet up properly. It closed perfectly up until the point we sold it 6 months later.... for $400. LOL Piece of crap.
