I just bought the SS in my sig, and the back up lights are not working, everything else is, where should I start looking?

Re: reverse lights

Not trying to be an ***, but did you check the bulbs? Did you check the wires with a voltmeter to see if they are getting power?

Re: reverse lights

I did check the bulbs, they are good, didn't do the voltmeter though. I'll try that. Is there a switch coming out of the tranny or a harness I should look into also?

Re: reverse lights

There is a backup light switch screwed into the passenger side of the T56.

Re: reverse lights

Sorry to highjack, but rather waste a new thread.......

What are the odds of both bulbs being blown? Ive never seen that in these cars. Anyway, where do I get, and how much is that "backup switch" mounted to the tranny? Any pics? Thanks!!

I had both my front turn signal bulbs blow within a day of each other, so it's possible. Anyway, maybe that switch will fix it.

Re: reverse lights

I just wanted to update everyone......

The wires to the reverse switch got cut somehow. Possibly a broken tranny mount allowing too much flex?
