If you just swap a thermostat, nothing is needed in programming at all.

Not really, the only thing you could do is get the fans reprogrammed to come on earlier (instead of 226) but it's not really an issue at all. I have a 160 in my car on a stock program and my car runs nice and cooll all the time. If you need your fans to come on early for some reason, turn on the AC.

Do a search for manual fan switch, that's how you can rig the fans to come on early for very cheap. Or you can buy a already made switch like SLP, Jet that also will turn your fans on early.

Nope. The computer monitors the engine temp. It does not care what thermostat is in there.
