Redline

About a half hour ago i was burning out, and i redlined in the process(i let off as soon as i realized). Now i havent had my camaro for very long, and this is my first powerful car so i wasnt expecting the rpm's to jump so fast. Will redlining for just a split second do any damage to my car?

Re: Redline

No.

Your redline limiter should catch it before you could do remotely any damage.......unless it's been disabled.

Even so - you would have to hold it in the red for a while to do damage.

Don't worry about.
