Hey Dudes
I am looking to get a new cat-back exhaust soon. I would like something that gives me a noticable amount of power and sounds mean
i like the sound of the stock exhaust but i am looking for it too be louder, i don't want a fart pipe sound but it has to be a mean rumble
Any recommendations?
Thanks

you realize you are asking a harder more subjective question than something like "what makes a woman beautiful?"
top choices are hooker, slp loudmouth, borla, magnaflow, flowmaster, GMMG and corsa
all have their fans, as well as their pros/cons
on a stock or near stock car, with cats in place, the magnaflow sounds damn nice. mellow around town but still screams at WOT.
some really like the hooker sound (and price) but it is not stainless and tends to rust out faster.
borla is $$ but is stainless and has an adjustable plate system, with a built in cutout, so you can go from straight pip to full muffler by changeing the plates.
GMMG is the classic chambered muffler design, expensive but sounds REALLY like the old school cars
loudmouth is inexpensive, stainless, and basically a straight pipe with a small resonator. its LOUD on any car...almost unbarable for daily driving/highway on a car with no cats.
i would check out www.ls1sounds.com they are all ls1 cars, which you didn't specify your car type...but it should give you an idea
