So I pulled the ECM/BATT fuse and tested it out. Still hot as **** air. Maybe I'll go back out there with the pressure gauge and test it again. It might be empty if the compressor wasn't running when I tried filling it I guess. It did sound a little different when I turned the air on though. I don't remember hearing that awhile ago when I was messing with it.

I am having the same problem with my 93. Before my compressor would cycle on and off but now i cant get the damn thing to turn on. I tried pulling the pcm bat fuse, but i havent tried just disconnecting the battery. Im gonna try disconnecting the battery, new a/c compressor relay and see if i can revive it that way.

Of course there is still the matter of a possible bad low pressure switch!

I don't know why people try to diagnoise these A/c problems without guages

I still can't get the ****ing thing to put out cold air. Oh, and I do have a gauge. Pressure should be perfect (if the compressor is even running, but I can't honestly tell).

To do it 'right', you need a set of gauges[for both the 'low' and 'high' sides of the system] Harbor Freight has a cheap set for about $50 that works OK..
It appears that you have the single [low side] gauge that comes in the 'kit' with a can of freon?
While better than NO gauge at all, it still doesn't really do the job right..

Nope. Don't want to put too many miles on it. I'm actually trying to sell it, slowly.

Oh, and I do have a gauge.
does it measure both high and lowside pressures, because if you look in my original post I say "gauges" as in two. If it does then give us the readings and we will be able to tell you more. But it sounds like you don't need any help.
