recall question

On my 2002 z28 the black roof panel between the t-tops and back window the paint/fiberglass is cracking and looks like crap when you get close to the panel. i have tryed google recalls for this but have not find any. Went to a local dealer and asked one of the workers and he told me that no recalls have been made on this issue. I went to my bodyshop guy and he told me that gm may have had a recall on this.

Can anyone confirm this for me. Would like to get this fixed before summer.

There was a TSB for the roof panel "bubbling" because of the glue that was used, but no recall. Friend of mine had his replaced but it was years ago. Don't know if it's the same issue as yours but I'll try and find the number for you.

GM TSB 03-08-98-001 Bubbles in Paint Around the Perimeter of Roof, 99-02 Camaro, Firebird. There was an update (same number but ends with an "A") but only changed the part number.

Lots of guy from other forums have had this done, under warrenty. Unfortunately the last couple went though hell because of the age and miles. Your talking about a 7 year old car. Good luck.
