A partner of mine at work has a 98 Z28. He changed the battery and now his stereo is locked out. It seems there is a trick to resetting that code. Does anyone know what it is?

Tried to cut & paste, but am having problems.

Shouldaboughtthez explained the procedure on 7 April of this year. He posted at 01:42 PM in General F-Body Tech, under the heading of "Unlock radio".

Never locked mine - I'd forget the code - too easy to unlock it anyway.
