radio interference...tapping
the car has had this for a while, always figured it was the old radio, or just static from the station.
doesn't seem to do it on all stations....i don't think..maybe it does.
but something Bayer said in a recent thread, could it be my wires arching? they are taylor spiro pros...bout 4yrs old.
the tapping in the radio doesn't seem to change with RPM i don't think.

Well I think if you had arching wires, it would make the ticking noise regardless of what station or source (cd, tape, radio, etc) it was set to. Do some experimenting and see if it always does it.

i would think so as well...
plan to test it out a bit....on the drive home, and also pop the hood at nite to see if any fireworks show up.
wires are in good shape i think....less than 20K miles...
figured i'd throw this up to get some info prior to investigating.
