radiator's interchangeable?
hi all,
im posting for my husband because he's a little computer impaired. he bought a 81 camaro z28 with a 383 stroker, 750 double pumper holly collaborator and it needs a new radiator.
i dont know what info i just gave was important for the advice im asking but i figured i would put it all in, since i have no clue what it all means but you guys will. the guy before him was planning to turn it into a drag car and started but never finished. the majority of the interior is ripped out. no windshield wiper motor, radio, glovebox, etc. it's got a 5gal fuel tank which will also need to be replaced since the husband will be using it to commute to work.
does he need to look for a specific radiator, as in we search for 81 camaro radiator, or is there something else that will work? 2 of his buddies are good with cars, but im not sure i trust them 100% to know what would be the cheapest route to go. he's looked at 2 junkyards, so obviously we're trying to keep this as cheap as possible. he's in the military and low ranking, we have twins and 1 on the way so at the moment it's more important to get the car running than make it "pretty" lol.
thank you all in advance for whatever help you can give, we both appreciate it SOO much!
