Airbag light on after swap?
Airbag light on after swap?
I just finished a swap from a 94 V6 to a 97 V8. I swapped everything from the 97 into the 94 including the entire wiring harness from the front to the back so the car is really a 97 SS now. Whats driving me nuts is everything is working but I have the Airbag light on steady (doesnt blink at all). I thought I had to remove the light by using a scantool so I brought it to the mechanic and he pulled up a code B1061--lamp circuit failure. I have checked an re-checked all connections under the console, behind glove compartment and under dash-all seem good as do the fuses. While doing the swap I always made sure not to move the steering wheel while doing the engine and headers as I am aware of the clock spring. The grounds, especially on the passenger fender all look good. The donor vehicle was in an accident but the bags didnt deploy and there was no airbag light on in that car. I am at a loss right now as to what the problem is so any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
