Radiator Drain Plug

Appears that the mechanics took the radiator out so many times that they finally over torqued the "cheap a$$ plastic" drain plug. So now I have a small, but nevertheless coolant: So has anyone ever changed the plug? I understand that the plug has (2) parts---a sleeve and and a t-handle. So if you have changed it, how did you get the old sleeve out?

Thanks,

Re: Radiator Drain Plug

This you mean? I'm not aware of any sleeve on it.

It's just a plug... remove and replace. Advance or autozone both have it.

Re: Radiator Drain Plug

Thanks much: I was just repeating what the guy from the radiator shop said when I was putting a new radiator in my Bronco. I hope you are right, I don't want to have to have somebody charge me a hundered bucks to replace the drain plug.

Thanks again.
