Question for ppl with Magnaflow Cat Back System

i just put a magnaflow cat back system on my '95 z28 and i was just wondering how close the new pipes came to the driveshaft. mine has maybe a half inch of clearance if i'm lucky, seems awfully close but i dont know.

Re: Question for ppl with Magnaflow Cat Back System

You talking around right near the "S bend" pipe area where the curved piece passes over the tunnel brace thing? If so mine was pretty close to the driveshaft there, and it's right where a clamp is, mine didn't end up with a whole lot of clearance but it hasn't caused a problem yet.

yeah thats the spot, it does seem very solid so i dont think it can move much. i guess i'll just have to listen for any odd bangs.

well the drive shaft isn't gonna move sideways (hopefully)

and the exhaust should only move up and down.

so it can be pretty close with no issues...don't sweat it
