Fuel Line Retainer Broken
Fuel Line Retainer Broken
the retainer holding the fuel line up off the engine is broken and i saw in a bunch of other pictures on the net that other ppls are broken too. is this a common problem?
Re: Fuel Line Retainer Broken
You mean the big plastic "ring" that holds the tubing bundle to the throttle linkage cover? Yes, they do break, and that can drop the lines on the manifold, causing a fire. I got a thick black nylon "wire tie", put the fat end inside, and through the hole in the throttle linkage cover, wrapped it around the fuel line bundle and back into the cover to connect up to the other end. Make sure the nylon tie does not interfere with the throttle linkage.
