A question about SS

I just bought a 2000 SS about a month ago. I was wondering, since these are the "more special" Camaros, if they came with some kind of paperwork telling you the information and build of your car, and if you can get that stuff back??

Only "special" thing I know of is the dash plaques, but I dunno if they were only on certain years. Other than that it just comes with the typical paperwork from what I understand.

You can go to SLP's website and get your build number. I know that some SS's are more rare than others, especially during the last few years of production. Most are just regular Z's with different wheels, hood, and spoiler. The "SLP SS's" had more performance options from SLP, and were a bit rarer. Most SS's we got in at the dealer just had a regular GM window sticker, but some would come in with an added window sticker from SLP detailing what else was in the car.

SLP makes both the SS and the Firehawk, my Firehawk came with a seperate sheet explaining the upgrade package and the extra price of everything. Call SLP they will give you any info you need also you can get a "birth certificate" saying where and when your car was built etc.

you probably already know, but on the passenger door, there is a sticker telling exactly what options SLP installed. I had a 2001 SS and had no luck with SLP on getting build numbers, sad to say.
