When you get a car registered and inspected and insured, do you have to wait for the updated tags to arrive before driving your car, or can you drive around with the expired tags, and if you get pulled over, just show proof of current registration?

I would say you can drive around. Just tell the cop, if you get pulled over, that you just moved here and still in the process of getting all that paper work and stuff done.

 

My g/fs mother has been driving like that for 3 weeks now. Just drive normal, dont attract attention to yourself and you should be alright.
