What kind of noise is it? Squeak, rattle, grind?

Re: put hurst shifter in and getting some noise

totally normal. If you look at the stock shifter there's a big rubber bushing between the actual shifter and the shift handle. That absorbs vibration and stops the noise. Without that bushing there, you hear all kinds of drivetrain noise. If it annoys you go to the hardware store and get some rubber washers to go between the shifter and the handle, the two bolts at the bottom. Won't solve the problem, but they should help some. You get used to it after awhile. It's not hurting anything.

If it is the same noise i get, some shifter companies recommend you spary the ball with a teflon spray. that should take some of the noise away.

Lol make sure you specify the ball on the end of the rod that goes in the trans, I can imagine some people spraying their shift *****!

Also, if its the billet plus model make sure the shift stops are adjusted correctly. If the stick is in constant contact with the stop while in gear it can cause problems as well as excessive noise.
