Mufflex ....

Denny from mufflex said this - when i asked him about making a brad brand tube. This is something we will only be able to do as an inhouse custom install .If you are not "local" and feel that this something that people may be looking for, get on the f body chat boards and see if anyone may be interested in "donating" their car for a prototype pipe install. We may be able to make a production assembly for the masses
Thank you Denny
Voice 609-890-0481 anyone interested that lives near mufflex ?

OK... I'll display my ignorance.... what is a "brad brand tube"?

I've gone to the Mufflex shop several times. It's about 20 miles away.

It's a hard tube to replace the "dryer duct" on the suction side of Vortech Superchargers. I have two of them (of course not installed) and just noticed the other day they are slightly different

There are pics down at the bottom of this page...

Ok, that was depressing. When I went to get the link for ya I noticed the date on my webpage that I bought this sucker. 1999 and the damn thing is still on the shelf. I need to quit my job so I can have more free time... no wait, if I quit that I can't afford things like this. Damn, can't win

No, need it. I have another Vortech that is going in the 96SS but guess where it is at right now... yep, still on the shelf

I should rephrase the above... I hope to need it in this lifetime

Re: Mufflex ....

I don't like the brad brand tubes now that I've actually seen one. The one piece design sucks (no pun intended). It's got to be a pain in the **** to work on. I've got a hand made hard intake tube which is made from mandrel 3.5" u bends which were cut and tigged together. It's made so it's actually 2 pieces with a piece of 3.5" silicone tubing connecting it in the center. It works extremely well, and it's very easy to remove/install.
