proper way to replace a compressor.

I just bought a new four seasons compressor, i replaced the expansion valve and the drier , the system right now has no oil in it at all i want to make sure i charge this compressor and system properly .

Can someone explain to me what im supposed to really do with the new cmopressor it came wiith instructions that said to put some oil in the suction port and spin it by hand but it didnt say how much oil to put in or anything like that, and how much oil and freon should the system take anyways i thought the oil was put in to the low pressure line through the hose?

Please help

Ryan
