problem brake lights

problem brake lights

I just noticed that only my center brake light is working. Both outside bulbs are ok but don't work.Any idea what could be wrong? This is on a 95 Z-28. And whats with the goop thats in the sockets?

Well they could be burnt out.

The grease in the sockets it called dielectric grease. It prevents corrosion of electrical devices

I had the same issue a while back. After I messed with the brake switch behind the brake padel, the lights worked normally.
