Power window problem!

I know the motors fail a lot in these cars (4th gen). My passenger one just stops sometimes and takes a while for it to move again. Anyone else had this? How difficult is it to change the motor in those things/how expensive is it to have done?? My security light also stays on while driving, why is this?

It would be nice to go back and delete the duplicate thread. There are two that are the same.

You can do a search for the security light. Lots of threads explaining it. Probably a failure of the system reading the key pellet.

Re: Power window problem!

I did my driver side not to long ago and it came out great. But my passenger side is on its way out too. Just take your time and don't rush the process and read all the instructions first before you start. I used the instructions from shbox.com and I had no problem at all. Just enjoy the time fixing your pirde and joy, good luck man. If you have any questions just ask.

totally do it yourself, dont be discuraged, its not a bitch to do. My best advise, is really pay attention to what you take apart, and how things come out. And not to mention if you run into big problems, you can drive to a shop. Its worth a try.
