Popping from steering linkage...

When I'm sitting stationary or moving very slowly, and turn the steering wheel, I'll get a very loud popping noise coming from somewhere around either wheel. Doesn't happen all the time, but it's definately becoming more prevalent as time goes on. Any idea what could cause this? I was thinking it could be tie-rods. Anything else in the steering linkage that could cause a loud cracking/popping noise like that?

I had a loud pop noise from my front suspension on my Z until I rebuilt the front end last year. The pop was coming from the right front lower control arm .REAR. bushing, it had come apart.

Mines doing that as well. A while back, a friend and I tore down the front suspension to check it out, most of the bushings were shot. Once I have the time, I'll replace em. Check your bushings, I'm sure one or two are cracked and broken, you gotta remember your ride is 11 years old!

I am going to say your outer tie-rod end(s) are shot.
