plug wire resistance. new wires have more resistance?

I just bought a set of AC delco wires. the OLD #2 wire was 900 ohms, the NEW #2 wire was 1763 ohms. is this right? I pulled a couple more shorties (nrew and old) and they seemed to be about the same difference.

Measure them all. If all the readings are relative to one another, increasing with length, they are ok.
