Please Help Just Bought A Steering Wheel (pics Inside) Urgent

ok well i just went to summit to purchase a new grant steering wheel that i saw here in the forums and i think i bought the wrong adapter piece the part number i bought from grant is #5196 but i think its the wrong one because the grove dont match up does anyone know what the part # is? for the right one thanks guys!

Wrong forum. Moving to "General F-Body Tech....."

And the airbag coil has to come out.

I used the 3196, then replaced the metal spider and rubber bellows with the billet adapter. But I don't thing the adapter was as thick as what you picture.

thanks for replying fred iv been battling this thing for hours so the metal adapter thats in there now has to come out?

you need the steering wheel puller and make sure the studs are ALL the way in before pulling, you can strip em it's soft metal

once the metal piece comes off with the puller, you'll have to cut the wires to the airbag coil and then remove the coil. then you'll be able to begin installing your steering wheel. The correct adapter kit for our cars as Injuneer pointed out is #3196.
